My name is Dominique and this is my blog, Beauty & The Boss. The purpose of this blog is to share with you my journey as a new and young entrepreneur as well as a professional in the beauty industry. I would like to share anything & EVERYTHING you guys would like to know. I will be posting product reviews, makeup and hair tutorials and posts about my business La Beautique.

Here’s a little bit about me:
I have worked as a licensed professional in the beauty industry for 10 years and have grown SO much in that short amount of time. I graduated from Empire Beauty School in May 2010, between then and October 2010 I worked in 3 different salons trying to find my nitch, which I did (to all you newly graduated cosmetology school students and newly graduated college students, DON’T WORRY! You WILL find the right fit for you!) I worked at an amazing salon for about 4 years where they trained me and taught me SO much. About 5 years ago, I left and opened my own salon. It has been a crazy journey thus far and I look forward to sharing all of the exciting, stressful, fun & fabulous details with you all.

The past 5 years of my life have been a consistent whirl wind, I’m always doing something, which totally comes along with the responsibility of owning a business, BE FOREWARNED! When people ask me how I do it, I say I don’t really know, HAHA! But really it is hard work and constant work, nonetheless at the end of the day I really have achieved so much and am doing what I love doing. With that said, my hope is to inspire anyone with the same dream, to achieve something great and do what you love because we all know how that quote goes:

“If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.”

And who WANTS to work?! LOL
